News, views and other bits and pieces

We meet every Saturday at Griffith Public Library on Banna Avenue during opening hours from around 10:00 am until around 4:00 pm.  Just drop in whenever you feel like it, say "G'day", stay for a while or the whole day and bring your ABC KNIT IN blanket squares, your WIP's (Works In Progress) or your UFO's (UnFinished Objects).

Share your news, views and whatever other bits and pieces you feel like sharing.

Help someone learn to knit (or crochet) or work out a tricky pattern.  Bring things of interest, patterns, and any knitting or crochet related item for 'Show & Tell'.

On the left is a piece called 'Water Wrap', which is currently on show in the Cottage Gallery.  There are some great other examples of textile art, it's worth your while to go and have a look, and great coffee and cake.  Go on, you need more carbohydrates in winter!

We had a very successful day today to kick off our club by meeting to celebrate 'World Wide Knit in Public Day',  Saturday 20 June 2009.  We were out in public, socialising with our knitting, with great pride!  There were more than 30 adults and children of both sexes enjoying the occasion, and we did some extreme knitting, too!

Keep watching the website for photos and links to other websites of knitting/crochet interest.

Check out the blog, too, which you'll find by clicking on 'Natty Knitters Natters' up above, next to the 'Home' button.  We'll try to put something there every day for your information and you can add your own comments.

Most of all, we hope you have fun!!
